Jacqueline’s Bio:
Jacqueline K. Boylan is a compassionate, certified registered nurse who was lovingly raised by her great-grandmother, in Brooklyn, NY. Jacqueline experienced profound loss early in life—losing both of her parents to substance abuse by the age of eight, as well as her maternal grandmother to pancreatic cancer at the age of 12. Additionally, she cared for her great-grandmother -the love of her life- who raised her, until her passing at home from breast cancer at age 103 in 2021. Having lived through trauma herself, Jacqueline understands the painful emotions that are caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences. It is her hope, that through this publication, as well as any future writings, other children will maintain the hope that they can and will sprout despite whatever challenges life throws at them. In addition to her love for writing, Jacqueline enjoys photography, bike riding, studying and teaching the Bible, and is a devoted admirer of American Sign Language (ASL).
